Failed to embed Vanilla: TypeError: $("#vanilla-comments").appear is not a function
I now get this error where embedded comments used to appear within my site.

Hi @Lori, there was a bug effecting embedding earlier today so we just did several small updates in rapid succession to fix it. If you clear your browser cache, it should be fine now. If not, give me a link to where your site is embedded and I'll have a look.

It doesn't display the error any longer. It simply doesn't display at all.

Hi @Lori, it looks like you're loading an outdated version of jQuery (1.2) into the page which is causing Vanilla Comments to throw errors. You'll need to upgrade to 1.7 or remove it entirely.

Hi Lori, not necessarily, this is part of your website not your server. This is something your web designer or developer would need to look into.
