Hi Horton, sorry for not replying immediately. I've been digging into this for a while and it looks like a problem with Firefox and not a Vanilla bug. It appears that many times if you change program focus (click out of Firefox) that Firefox will respond by reloading the entire embedded iframe. This causes the page jump, because there is no content below the sidebar for that brief moment as it refreshes.
Regardless, I'm forwarding this to the rest of the team to see if there's anything we can do to mitigate the problem.

My iMac shows the Search box, Go, New Discussion and New Poll buttons. As seen in the screenshot, my PC only shows the New Poll button.
