Hello,
Recently the threads on our forum have not been showing the number of new comments and when one clicks on the thread it goes to the first comment instead of the last read.
Is there anything I can change in Dashboard to help this? I have not changed anything to cause the issue.

Vanilla recently changed how is displayed the "# New" alert. It's now only shown on discussions you've previously read. This is to prevent new users from being inundated by a sea of "New!" notifications all over everything. Instead, it simply makes never-read discussions bold.
I can't find a problem with the jump-to-latest comment on your forum. Two things to keep in mind: first, if there are a lot of images or videos in a discussion, sometimes those will load after the jump, causing you to get stuck in the middle of a page. Second, if you go to a discussion, scroll to the top, and then click "refresh" some browsers will remember your scrolled-to position instead of jumping to the anchor as it would after clicking a link.
