Difficult to Distinguish New Discussions and Issue with Players Marked as Trolls

Hi:
A variety of issues and questions, but wanted to start out with three various items:
1. (High priority for us) - The 'Mark as Troll' feature isn't working. As you can imagine, this is less than ideal and can cause a real problem. In fact, it's already causing a stir--we were under the impression that posters marked as trolls would be completely invisible. Different scenarios on different forums:
a. On one forum, the troll's name is popping up, but with a blank post. Obviously, our community is starting to talk.[
b. On another forums, the troll is showing as a regular poster, and others are responding to her. She's also not showing with the red warning on the boards. she is still marked.
2. From an admin:
"For some reason, whenever I create a New Discussion now, I don't have access to text formatting options. This is only available when I reply to an existing thread. By formatting options I mean things like setting text bold, italic, underlined, bullet pointing, etc..."
3. It is very, very difficult to distinguish new discussions on our forums, as the yellow 'new' memo only comes up when there is a new post to an existing discussion that the poster has taken part in. On one forum, it looks like read, but with new posts, discussions are grayed out, and only new posts to existing discussions are marked as new? And that new discussions that we haven't read yet are just white? In another forums, new discussions, not yet read my mods are in bold. this is incredibly frustrating and I've missed a bunch of discussions for moderation because of the lack of a 'new' symbol. I haven't changed any settings--any way you can help out? this is happening for admins, mods and rank-and-file community members.

There appears to be a Javascript error on Spartacus causing the WYSIWYG formatting bar to not appear when starting a new discussion. I'm looking into it. Has this been reported on other sites or just that one?
Regarding new discussions, we changed how this works in our May release: http://vanillaforums.com/blog/news/may-release-introducing-polls/
If you'd like to change how it's formatted, we can do that via your Customize Theme option in the Dashboard.
re: formatting - Thus far, it looks like it's just Vengeance/Spartacus. I'll take a look at the other forums when I have a few minutes. They seem to be working right now.
re: the troll issue, thanks. It was a little odd, as two forums had two separate issues. I don't want to give out too much info on a public forum--if you need more information about which forums/player, I can send a private e-mail, if that is okay.

On LonelyPlanet, the plugin is not in use. On Spartacus, the plugin is enabled but no users are marked as a troll.
On Vengeance, you have 1 user marked as a troll. I've confirmed their material is hidden & marked as expected depending on your role (hidden from members, flagged red for admin).
On LuckyCruise, 7 members are marked. I chose one who has been active recently and reviewed their posts. When spoofed as a regular member, their comments & discussions were invisible. As an admin, their discussions were flagged appropriately. Also, I didn't see anyone except moderators engaging them.
If you're still having issues, could you please give me further details of which sites/members we're looking at and who it was that was able to see or reply to their posts? You can email support@vanillaforums.com if they need to remain private.
Sorry this took me a while to address. It turns out that WYSIWYG bug you pointed out (#2) was more far-reaching than I'd hoped and it took a lot of time to get it sorted out. We have the fix prepared for our next update release.
Apologies for the delay. I'll send you a PM, as a troll was able to get noticed on a forum and cause quite a bit of trouble today. I'd rather not outright ban them.
