Paid Customizations And Facebook Image

I have three questions. Two of which I'm guessing pertain to paid customizations.

1. When signing up to my forum via Facebook, the image used gets all blurry on the profile page. I'm guessing I could override that using CSS and shrink the image, but do you know of another work around? Is there a way for the plugin to pull the full image from Facebook and scale it down or does it only pull the thumbnail size?

2. We would like to add a few badges with custom rules. Can you have someone contact me about this.

3. We're interested in allowing users to follow other users. This way they can easily view their "friends" activities via there own profile page. Something similar to http://vanillaforums.org/addon/following-plugin Is this feature planned? Can we co-sponsor it with other interested parties for paid customization?

  • 1. You could indeed use Customize Theme -> CSS to adjust the size. Unfortunately there's no way to change what image it grabs.

    I'll have sales contact you about 2 & 3.

@endemic You can upload badges and allow moderators and admins to give them out manually. We'd be happy to quote you on creating some custom rules. Send your requirements to sales @ vanillaforums

As for a Facebook-like wall, that's something that has come up with other customers and it's on our product roadmap but isn't yet scheduled for release.

  • Thanks guys.

I'll create the badges first and then contact sales.

Also, is there a way to not default the FB image then? Then when you guys fix it I can just set it to default it?
  • Hi @endemic, unfortunately it's not possible to disable the use of Facebook photos when using the FB sign in system currently.
