Archiving a temporary forum

Hi, I want to install a temporary forum for a temporary project.
Is there a possibility to archive this forum after the project is finished? Let it be readable but not being usable anymore? Thanks for information on that.

  • Hi @truth, you could revoke everyone's "Add" permissions, which would result in the forum being read-only.

thanks @Lincoln. however, my queston goes more in this direction: is it possible to chancel my account after a certain time and 'freeze' the forum, means still having the possibilty to read/visit it ...
  • No, cancelled forums are no longer available. We can provide you with a backup of the data, but we will no longer host the site.

    ok. thanks!
  • Dear Lincoln, a few months ago you told me, there is a possibility to get a backup of the data before we shut down our temporary forum (see above). As the project is over for a while now and the forum quite dead as well, we are thinking about closing it down. Therefore I would be interested in this back up now. Could you please prepare it for me? Or can you let me know what you would need from me for this and how you would send the data then?
    Thank you!

  • Hello @truth,
We would be able to provide the data dump. I'll e-mail it to you as soon as its ready.

    Thanks,
    Rasha
