Hi Horton, that was a UI change we made on Friday. The option for that has moved into the "MeModule" which typically appears at the top of the sidebar (it shows your username, avatar, and some quick-navigation options).
The oversight here is that some sites haven't implemented the MeModule and we didn't account for that. Unfortunately, reversing this change would create additional complications so the best solution is to modify your theme. Would you like me to add the MeModule to your site, or would you like me to hack that link back into your main nav bar?
The MeModule is becoming increasingly important to the Vanilla experience so that's the option I recommend.
There appears to have been a temporary caching glitch where the glyphs weren't displaying and you were seeing the alt text instead. The words "Account Options" shouldn't appear - it should be a gear, which is what I see again now.

I am sure I will just take the new feature but can you show me a demo?
First, I re-added it to your main nav bar. Multiple sites were effected so I re-added it to the plugin directly.
Second, I've turned on the MeModule on this help site so you can check it out. It's near the top left corner above the "Ask a Question" button.

I mean when you click the gear the menu that appears gets cut off to the left.
