BuddyPress, Disqus and Vanilla Forum Integration
Hi,
I'm the developer and co-owner of www.mmarate.com - a new Mixed Martial Arts website that we fully expect to be a cornerstone piece of our blog network and a leading authority site on the subject.
I'm interested in integrating Disqus with BuddyPress & Vanilla Forums. We are currently using Vanilla's $149 hosted solution.
We understand that there is a bit of redundancy in user management / achievements & gamification / comments / etc. between the Discus WordPress plugin, BuddyPress and Vanilla Forums that will need to be worked out with this solution.
Not entirely sure what all is possible here. Single sign-on is a must of course. But what else can we do using the API in regards to the user feeling like there is a single profile (likely their BuddyPress profile)?
This is on a brand new website with a pre-launch page currently up. Budget is an issue until this gets rolling for a few months, however, we are dedicating what we consider a pretty penny into a new site.

It's also possible to redirect profiles to another URL if you wish.
