It would be helpful if the "Recent Discussions" link was included at the end of each discussion as an alternative option to Home and Category. If this is not possible, then perhaps simply making it available at the top of the Categories View in the Mobile Version. This way, mobile viewers can always get back to a "Recent Discussions" view even when the default is set for "Categories" view.

There is a complicated endaround for mobile viewers but one of the above options would be much more helpful...

    @Huw

    I just logged into your forum and had a look around.

    1) Splitting seems to still be there:

    2) Search seems to work:

    Are you seeing what I'm seeing?

    3) The Mobile theme is undergoing some additional fixes to bring it up to date with changes made in the desktop theme. Thanks for bringing your issues to our attention in that regard.

    4) We receive this request, as well as the opposite request ("Why is my forum shown in two different ways? If I choose Category mode there should not be a link to 'Discussions'!") whenever we change this behaviour. We're still not 100% certain what the best mechanic is yet, but we're working on it.

    Unfortunately there is no single right answer to the problem as there are people on both sides of the argument.

    1. Yes you're right. My moderators said it was missing, maybe the interface has changed?
    2. Searching does seem to be working OK today although I don't see the highlights in IE or FF and indeed can't see any span or other markup around them that would allow for it.
    3. OK
    4. Thanks fo the info: we have people in both camps too, some like category view, others recent discussions.

    2. Disregard 2: I see you've used Safari to highlight the words.

    Search was malfunctioning yesterday, so that could be what has happened. Our hosting provider is slowly migrating all our servers to new huddles, resulting in somewhat patchy service at times. We've complained and are trying our best to keep everything stable.
