@Horton At the time you posted this last night we were having an issue with some of the frontend systems behaving erratically. We were taking them offline and re-tuning them for a little over an hour last night.
When you connect to a Vanilla site, it randomly assigns you to one of the frontend systems. If you happened to connect to one of the misbehaving frontends before we took it offline, that would explain your connection issues. I believe everything was normal by midnight (EDT).

I also got a strange. "Vanilla is installed" message in the embed space once in IE. My users will love that.
