Lead Generation Specialist

Vanilla is looking for a smart, driven and hardworking Inbound Lead Qualification Specialist to help us continue growing our business. Tens of thousands of companies, including some of the world’s top brands, use Vanilla to create engaged communities.

This is the perfect position for someone looking to start or re-boot a lucrative career in sales. Success in this position can quickly earn you a promotion to a team leader or account executive position.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify all inbound leads within target SLAs.
  • Work the phone, email and social media to get through to the leads and qualify them. Talk time and phone calls are vital to the success of the role.
  • Communicate with leads to overcome objections and determine fit.
  • Update and append relevant lead information to keep records up to date.
  • Pre*call and email research through LinkedIn and Google.
  • Fine tune messaging and develop an understanding of lead’s business pains.
  • Log activity in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Hit or exceed activity and demo meeting objectives on a weekly basis.

Skills and personal traits:

  • Discipline to manage multiple inbound channels at the same time including live chat, email queues and phone.
  • Fearless in front of a challenge and aren’t afraid of rejection. You understand that no thanks just means not now, or I’m not the right person to talk to and see it as a challenge to push deeper into the organization.
  • Always curious, you love to learn about people’s businesses and their challenges. You are able to take their perspective and get them to talk about their business pains.
  • Ability to open doors and find the right stakeholders within organizations with live projects.

Migration Developer (PHP, MySQL)

We are looking for a Migration Developer to join our Services team to help us bring existing communities running on other platforms over to Vanilla’s Hosted Cloud.

As a Migration Developer, your primary responsibility is to process data exports from other platforms and convert them into a usable format for our import tools. You will work with several teams to deliver data migration services to our customers. You’ll be responsible for estimating on new migration tasks, and building custom import packages when we encounter new platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully migrate customers from legacy platforms on Vanilla
  • Maintain and improve Vanilla’s migration tools
  • Provide migration-related consultation for Sales team members
  • Provide product support to the Services team during bi-weekly support cycles
  • Perform Services and Core development as needed

Skills:

  • 2+ years experience in PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience with various RDMS such as MSSQL, Postgres.
  • Familiarty with data encoding.
  • Experience with git/GitHub or equivalents.
  • Experience using REST APIs.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience with parsing / data transformation.

As a developer, you’ll start with bug fixes, troubleshooting support issues and then move on to building plugins and contributing to core product development once you are ramped up.

  • Experience with a *nix environment

B2B Marketing Specialist

Vanilla Forums is looking for an experienced B2B Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team in Montreal to help drive awareness of Vanilla Forums and build pipeline for our growing sales team.

This role is part science and part art, and is ideal for for someone who takes an analytical approach to account-based and inbound marketing. It includes optimizing copy and campaigns for conversions, building highly optimized landing pages, developing email campaigns, and ensuring our website ranks for search results.

Your success will be measured by your ability to drive new revenue through lead generation initiatives. You will be responsible for tracking the effectiveness of your lead generation efforts, developing best practices and further enhance conversion and success metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, delivery and execution of customized digital marketing efforts for both internal SDR as well as customers that address sales, marketing and lead nurturing funnel goals.
  • Organize and prioritize cross*functional projects for social media, SEO, SEM, email, blogs and content creation.
  • Work with the marketing team on project timelines and milestones.
  • Help manage all database segmentation to accurately target audiences.
  • Precall and email research through LinkedIn and Google.
  • Provide insights and analysis on all campaign key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics.
  • Manage campaign performance reports and share results across teams to ensure constant program evolution.
  • Work with marketing team on adhoc basis to create landing pages, A/B multivariate testing, graphic design (bonus).

Skills and personal traits:

  • You have 2+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with a focus on lead/demand gen.
  • You are a Hubspot power user and know the marketing automation suite inside and out.
  • You are comfortable with Salesforce sales cloud.
  • A proven track record in using tactics that include landing pages, advertising, content syndication, live events, social media, and email marketing to generate quality B2B leads.
  • You have very strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and analyze program effectiveness.
  • Strong B2B copywriting ability for B2B newsletters and B2B landing pages, an eye for design, and strong attention to detail.
  • You’re a self-starter, who can work independently and proactively to resolve issues, take ownership of the tools, processes, reporting and relationships with vendors.
  • You thrive working in metrics*driven, fast-paced, high*growth environment.
