Vanilla is searching for a proven sales performer to help us increase our market share in the SMB and Fortune 500 markets.

The ideal candidate is someone who can articulate the value of a SaaS based solution and possess a proven track record selling into SMB and Fortune 500 accounts. The position is based out of Ottawa or Montreal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage prospects through a strategic milestone based sales process
  • Package and present proposals and business documentation to C-level executives
  • Manage a sales funnel to ensure accurate forecasting of sales revenue
  • Consistently meet and exceed aggressive monthly and annual quotas
  • Deliver solution based and client centric sales messaging

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience selling SaaS or web based applications
  • Strong document packaging and presenting skills
  • Prior experience forecasting and managing accounts in salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of basic mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS
  • Highly proficient with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Customer Success Manager

Vanilla is looking for a full-time Customer Success Manager who will work with our customers to ensure that they are successful in using our platform, with the overall aim of reducing churn. This position involves a great deal of communication with Vanilla’s high-end customers, both via email and on the phone. It will be vital that the person filling the position be an excellent communicator and problem-solver. The Customer Success Manager will be considered a member of the Sales department, reporting to the Head of Customer Success.

Responsibilities:

  • Help customers achieve their business objectives by providing advice on best practices.
  • Help customers on a day-to-day basis with problems they’ve encountered, ranging from filing a bug report to fixing configuration settings to suggesting best practices
  • Provide ongoing product support to an existing subset of customers
  • Reduce churn for that specific subset of customers by solving existing problems and reaching out to the customers proactively
  • Onboard and train new customers to get them acclimated to the platform
  • Build relationships with customers to understand their goals for their community and how you can help them to achieve those goals

B2B Marketing Writer and Head Storyteller

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you are a fresh voice skilled in writing compelling digital content for B2B, preferably with prior experience in software or technology.

In this role, you will work closely with the marketing team, other internal departments and external resources such as graphic designers to develop effective marketing content. From writing, editing and layout, you will own the entire production chain of content from idea to consumable collateral by prospects and customers.

This includes managing the voice of the brand, creating and maintaining the editorial calendar, writing blogs and optimizing blog content for search and social sharing. You are also responsible for the creation of case studies, eBooks, slide presentations and other customer facing projects – as well as update and re-purpose existing materials.

This can be either an on-site or work-from-home role.

Required Skills

  • Passionate about B2B writing and storytelling;
  • Excellent communicator both written and spoken;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing concepts and writing clear, effective and optimized copy, headlines, calls to action, etc. (and measuring the impact of your copy);
